Holistic massage is a deeply relaxing and restorative form of bodywork. It draws on classical massage techniques, for a nourishing, in-depth treatment, – with an emphasis on working with the whole person, aswell as addressing any specific areas of concern.
Regular massage has been shown to have a positive impact on numerous aspects of health, – and particularly to support the immune system, circulation, muscle tone, skin condition, and sleep quality, – aswell as effectively reducing stress levels, and anxiety. Massage can help to develop a sense of safety, and ease in the body, – of ‘coming home’ to oneself, and to body. People often find that regular work supports a greater experience of embodiment, and ease in daily life.
I have Itec Diplomas in Holistic Massage, and also Anatomy and Physiology, – both with distinction. I've also trained extensively in bodywork and movement therapy, – and explored a wide range of CPD level work, – including craniosacral therapy, and dance movement psychotherapy.
I’ve been involved in the field of movement and bodywork for well over a decade, including many years of dance, and movement meditation practices, such as Authentic Movement.
My studies, and my own experiences of movement and bodywork, have given me a strong commitment to this work, – and to supporting people develop their sense of ease and home in the body.
