Hi. I'm Daniella

I help people to overcome chronic stress, fatigue or illness, and to improve their quality of life using a holistic approach to well-being. I specialise in the relationship between mind, emotions and chronic illness.

This means I can help you to move beyond difficult emotions like fear or anxiety, to overcome trauma, and to learn how to develop your emotional resilience so that you can deal confidently with any external situation.   I can also support you in reducing symptoms which go hand-in-hand with long-term stress -  like exhaustion, pain, digestive problems, inflammation, sleep disorders and immune-related problems.

I have been fortunate that I have studies health from several different perspectives, including working in mainstream healthcare, as a holistic therapist, and as a student of philosophy - exploring the nature of the mind, health, trauma, spirituality and well-being on the deepest levels.

Why I support people with emotional health and chronic illness:

I have helped people to improve their health and well-being for over 30 years now. But it was my own personal experience of recovery from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia that led to my interest in supporting people with emotional healing, and stress-related health conditions.

Acute illness often has a clear pathological cause, and so it can be treated effectively through medication or surgical intervention.  But chronic illness is more complex, and is influenced by emotional or psychological stress, as well as social, spiritual and cultural factors. Stress has a profound impact upon the way that your body functions, the progression of illness, and its ability for healing. But many aspects of life which create stress remain largely unacknowledged within Western medicine.

When I became ill, I became intensely aware of the discrepancy between my professional health education and the lived reality of being unwell.  I also found that what I was being told about chronic illness and how to restore my health conflicted with my own experience.  Since my recovery, I have spent an additional 5 years studying the mind-body connection, emotional health, chronic illness, and the potential for personal growth that it also presents.

Now I focus on helping people to develop the areas of life which impact ill health, but which are often ignored within mainstream approaches to health - like releasing emotional distress or trauma, reducing symptoms of chronic illness with natural therapies, learning skills for coping more effectively with life, developing healthy relationships, increasing authenticity, and re-evaluating personal beliefs.


Who I work with:

I can best help heart-centred people who have an active interest in personal or spiritual development.

Having some interest in personal or spiritual development is a prerequisite of working with me, because my focus is to support you in making positive changes in your life.  So there has to be some desire for change present, before you are able to make these changes effectively. Processing difficult emotions like anxiety or fear, overcoming trauma, re-evaluating beliefs, establishing healthy relationship boundaries, developing life skills - these are all things which can be challenging in their own ways. But if you do feel ready to embark on this path, then I am here to offer you all the support and guidance that you need.
