I have unusual shape feet, so I find it very hard to find shoes that fit. I also have a strong tendency to chilblains, and my toes will swell up and itch if they get either too warm, or too cold.
So I'm dreaming of made-to measure shoes! Does anyone know of a place where you can get these made? Or, at least, where you can get those old-fashioned wooden things which will expand shoes from the inside?
I know that you can get liquid to spray on so that they expand, but for that to work the shoes have to exert pressure first, and that is what I can't have.
    Thanks! Love A.

have you tried made-to- measure shoe services around your area?
I was once in a shoe shop in Pershore, a small town in midlands. The shop lady was in middle of converting her business to cater only to feet with problems.
Maybe something like that would suit you?

I have been searching on the internet for 'problem feet', 'wide toe box', 'foot problems' etc, but could not think of the right term. 'Made-to-measure' is just the word I was looking for and helps a lot. Thanks!

I see (new) Cosyfeet all the time in charity shops. They are for people who have swollen feet. Mine aren't: it's only my toes that are the trouble. Unusual shape and, yes, swollen at times. But not in that way. Thanks though!

I have wide feet and always struggle to find shoes that I feel comfortable enough to wear with my image. I came across another useful web link wider fit shoes - just some more insight I thought I would share with anyone else who has wide feet. We do get the bad end of the deal but there are more options starting to happen, finally.

I found a shop in Exeter, Chuckle Shoes, which measured my feet and made me some lovely and comfortable shoes. Thank you Barry! See http://www.chuckleshoes.co.uk.
