    Hello everyone

I wonder if folk could recommend a book which would introduce me to the principles of NLP, and give me advice on how to apply them to my own life/routine? I've been to Amazon and there is a vast selection. Do folk have experience with the NLP workbooks, or is it better to get something general (groan... perhaps even the NLP for Dummies)?

I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on NLP books they think are particularly valuable.

As a great general introduction to NLP I would recommend a book by Joseph O'Connor & John Seymour "Introducing NLP". Joseph's NLP Workbook is also good. I have not looked at NLP for Dummies myself, but believe that the reviews of it were quite positive.

Among some of the earlier NLP books which were basically transcripts of NLP seminars, a classic one is "Frogs Into Princes". It is a bit harder to actually learn the principles of NLP from these, but they are a really nice introduction to get a sense of the process and possibilities of NLP, though this one tends to be quite expensive.

Thanks very much, Masha. That was exactly the sort of advice I was after.
