No expert at all, but the owner of a local herbal shop said that taking a herbal mix is good for you and suggested I try a small bag of mixed herbs Thyme, Sage, Parsley, Marjoram and Oregano which I bought earlier today, but completely forgot to ask how one takes them....

    Any suggestions thanks ?

    Hi Jim,

I'm surprised nobody has responded to you yet.
Looking at the herbs you mention, they are all edible foodstuffs, so if they are fresh you could eat them in a salad or with other food.
However, I suspect they are dried herbs you've been given, in which case, it's more likely the herbalist intended you to make a herbal tea from them, so you would need to add boiling water to an amount of them (you'll have to experiment to see how much you need) and let it infuse for a while, before straining the bits out (if you have a tea infuser it can help as it keeps the bits out of the drink).
