I have posted in the Lancashire forum as well because I live about 12 miles from Manchester (Heywood), but I was born and bred in Manchester.

I moved here when I was 12 onto Darnhill, then got married and moved to Rochdale, then moved back to Heywood in 1978. I live in Hopwood now, do you know it? Whereabouts did you live? If you visit Heywood again you'll have to let me know and you can come round for coffee.

Wow! Ive never been in the regional area before - its interesting to see names of places i know so well! I live in chorlton just now, but lived in bury for 4 years before that and Ramsbottom before that, which i loved... (prior to that was in native scotland). Must say i love living in Chorlton - its a great place! Feels like a smaller world in here now! even though...um....its been almost a year since anyone posted in here... oh well
Hi Everyone, just found this thread (topic?)... I was born in Harpurhey, grew up in Newton Heath and Failsworth, spent a bit of time in Hulme, Oldham, Levenshulme, Gorton, Fallowfield, and Openshaw before moving to my current home in Swinton. Nice to hear some of the places I know mentioned!!!
