Hi Chris! I'm so sorry I always forget to look in here and it was a fluke that made me look tonight! Yes, I am still in Somerset and still loving it. Sadly I lost my husband suddenly in February which was a big shock to everyone but life goes on and although the girls and I have our 'moments' we are coping well. How are you and Marie and the kids? What have you been up to over the years? Send them all my love too.

Hi Jen,
Lovely to hear from you! Unfortunately I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in Aug and although I have had it surgically removed (from my ankle) 4 months ago I have been told it was "aggressive" and have to have further skin taken away,skin graft and a Sentinal Node Biopsy done from my groin to see if the cells have migrated. I will be in a plaster cast and not able to put my foot to the ground for the first 3 weeks and then on crutches for a further 3 weeks so looking at Dec before I will be mobile again!
Maggie (Somerset Angel) has been so fantastic as a friend and has taken me to every appointment and been with me in the room so she knows exactly what is going on bless her, and has been such a fantastic support.
Because all my family live in different parts of the country my other great friend and 'soul sister' Pat will be flying over from Spain to come and look after me until the 9th Nov when she has to go back for family commitments. After that there is a rota of people coming to stay to keep an eye on me lol.
How are you? Sorry to see that Jim is still having health problems and sending him a big hug. Also to to the others.

Thank you for sending me lots of warm sunny light, it's actually reached me in Somerset which is wonderful after all the rain we get down here!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday and feel re-charged to face the winter months. As for the reading, no rush, whenever you have the time, I know you are a very busy man!

Honestly I am useless at all these new bits on HP lol! I hope you don't think I've been ignoring you but didn't give it a thought that anyone might want to leave me a message and it never occurred to me to check until on an impulse this morning. And there you and Jim were!!!!
It just says post a message but not sure how it gets sorted who the message goes to so hope this reaches you!
I'm doing well thank you, have appt for surgery come through for 29th Oct. have Pre Op assessment this Mon. Husband is ok too, although very emotional time the few days I was with him. Youngest daughter at Uni in Cardiff so family now spread across the country, Eldest in Lincoln, Husband in Essex, me in Somerset and youngest in Wales!
