Sorry, I haven't been on here either for a while - the improvement in the weather meant a lot of gardening needed doing.
The photograph was taken at the end of a yoga/meditation session - just looking at it helps me relax .....
Fruit and veg protect your eyes from cataracts and are helpful once you have them. Lutein and zeaxanthin are excellent and occur in in green/leafy vegetables such as kale and spinach; free range eggs, coloured fruits, cos, broccoli, corn, peas, Brussels, pumpkins, corn and grapes. When eating lutein rich foods, eat them with fats.
Anything with vitamins C and E is good, and bilberry and gingko.
If you let me have your email address I can send a bit more extensive info. And look at Natural treatment and prevention of cataract with vitamins, herbs, supplements and Eyesight.nu.
For glaucoma a good site is Nutrition and Glaucoma | Glaucoma Research Foundation. I hope this helps a bit! Love, A.

Hello Anne, I have not been around HP for a while (too much aggro) anyway, I noticed your Thread about eyes and wondered what your 'diet' was that helped your dry eye MD? I have Glaucoma and Cataracts.
I also Have a problem with my right eye and just had scans etc., waiting to see consultant again.

My blog 'Thought for Food' is about the relationship between our health and what we eat, it shows you what to eat locally*/seasonally, and it has a few simple recipes thrown in.

*Locally being Britain in my case.
